How to wear the Speed Trainer

The Speed Trainer is easy to wear and comfortable. Strap the belt on with the buckle in front. The adjustment for the waist size is the velcro strap on the back of the belt. The leg weight portion of the Speed Trainer should velcro on with the center of the thigh weights placed directly above the knee cap. The thigh weights should be approximately four inches above the knee cap so that the thigh cuff will not restrict motion in the knee joint. If the Speed Trainer becomes sweaty or dirty, first remove the weight bars, then simply clean with water and hang to dry.

Strength requirements to use the Speed Trainer

Just as a rocket ship needs a strong hull to with stand the forces of speed, so does the human body. As sports medicine has advanced, it is common knowledge that if the muscles surrounding the spine (the core muscles) are not strong, then the body is hampered from performing to it’s fullest potential. A building needs a good foundation! If the core muscles are not in balanced proportion, then the muscles required for speed have a weak foundation to attach to. A chain is only as strong as it’s weakest link! The Speed Trainer works to strengthen the hip flexor muscles in a dynamic fashion. An athlete must keep his muscular development in a proper balance. This promotes optimum sports enhancement. The following routine will help strengthen the core muscles. If you have any back problems, or are unsure or your strength levels, then consult your sports medicine specialist to determine if this workout is appropriate for you.
